Excerpt from video entitled, "Eric Liddell Remembered":
"Let us run with patience the race that is set before us. ...you see friends, we too are in a manner of speaking, in a race. Yet we are runners for Christ and until God blows the finishing whistle, we will keep running and I hope always with joy."
This video is in remembrance of anyone who finished the "race" as spoken about Eric Liddell in the video.
I stumbled upon this video shortly after my friend, Pete Cummings, suddenly and unexpectedly died on April 13, 2010 at the young age of 35. I was pondering how Pete fulfilled the purposes of his God-given gifts and talents and finished the "race".
Let's honor and remember all the great people in our lives by living our lives right. Living right means to trust in God, do our best and never give up. In so doing we will also be fulfilling the purposes of our God-given talents as we run our own races and inspire everyone who comes into contact with us to do the same.
